i did happen to find a site that shows tabla beets and how to hit them correctly, but i found it much easier when practicing myself to buy a book instead. I wil try to find the websitte again if i can but ofcourse you could do the same by typing into google.

If you go to your local indian instrumant shop or gurudwara, im sure any book is good. You can always try the internet for useful books. There are not so many books on tabla so they are all prety good. If u really want to learn tabla, the only way to do so is to get a teacher and have a few lessona on how to hit it correctly and practice getting the right sound.
